Migration policy: a conference in Rome  

'Fostering dialogue among stakeholders in European research: conference on the gender and migration policy' will take place on 18 June 2010 at Cnr headquarter (Piazzale Aldo Moro 7, Rome) within the 'European year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion'. The symposium  is a culmination of two years work and intends to improve dialogue among all stakeholders working in the field of gender & migration in Europe such as policy-makers, researchers and civil society organizations.

All stakeholders will discuss their priorities for the future: policy-makers will outline key policy areas, researchers will explain the future trends that could shape new policies, while civil society organizations will offer a perspective based on their experience of working on the field.

The outcome of the conference will be a comprehensive report outlining the plans for future collaboration, which will be submitted to the European Commission for wider distribution. Andrea Bozzi, director of Cnr Cultural identity department and Mario Alì, general director for Internationalization of research, Italian ministry for research, education and university (Miur) will open the conference.

Policy makers at all level - national, regional, local - researchers and representatives of civil society organizations are welcomed.
