Hydrogen technologies for the Mediterranean area

The second edition of the 'Euro-Mediterranean Hydrogen Technologies Conference (EmHyTeC)' will be held in Taormina on 9-12 December. It is organised by Cnr's Institute of Chemical Methods and Processes for the Transformation and Storage of Energy, under the best auspices of the Working Party on Etrera 2020, an FP7 project devoted to the reinforcement of euro-Mediterranean partnership between research centres and industries working on renewable technologies. The main scope of the meeting is to provide a wide forum for discussion on fundamental and technological aspects of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies and their integration with renewable energy sources.

Hydrogen and fuel cell technologies are considered a key element in the future clean energy market. Many barriers have been removed, but more information is required to inform industries and large public about the great advantages coming from the utilization of hydrogen and fuel cells technologies in large-scale application, as well as about the safety of such technologies.

The conference will consist of plenary and single sections with keynote lectures given by recognized invited speakers and selected contributions as oral and poster presentations.
