Cnr-Mpg cooperation

'Integration and partnership in science and technology: state of art and future perspectives' is the event recently held at Villa Vigoni and organized by the National Research Council of Italy (Cnr) to focus on the current cooperation and future perspectives of the partnership between the Cnr and the Max Planck Gesellschaft of Germany (Mpg).

It was articulated in a first open session, during which the presidents of Cnr and Max Planck presented the strategies of internationalization of each Institution and outlined new possible scenarios of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, also taking into account the new Eu guidelines for R&I. This session was concluded with the ceremony of the signature of a S&T bilateral agreement.

During the second session two workshops were held, promoted by the Cnr Departments of Earth System Sciences and Technologies for the Environment, Agrifood and Biosciences, Physical Sciences and Technologies of Matter. They gathered scientists from Cnr and Mpg with the aim to reinforce the already existing cooperation, to discuss the definition of bilateral projects to be developed within the framework of the new S&T bilateral agreement, and to lay the ground for common strategies for participation to the forthcoming Eu Framework Programme for research and Innovation - Horizon 2020.
