An international meeting on Cancer

Molecular and cellular biologists have been asking themselves for decades on what a cancer cell is different from a normal non-transformed cell. One of the first observations made by Warburg in the 20s is that cancer cells have an altered cellular metabolism. The Workshop, organized by Cnr Institute of Genetics and Biophysics (Naples-Italy), Toxicology Unit, University of Leicester (Uk) and Advanced medical discovery institute University of Toronto (Canada), will bring together internationally recognized - leading scientists approaching tumorigenesis from different research fields, all supporting the belief that metabolic changes are a key point in cellular transformation.

All workshop scientific sessions will be held at the Palazzo dei congressi, vico Sella Orta, 3. The workshop will start with the 'Graziella Persico lecture' at 18.30 on October 23rd  and will end with 'Lunch round tables' with speakers and students at 14.00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26th. There will be a total of five morning and late-afternoon sessions and one poster session. All applicants are requested to send an abstract on their research and present a poster (90cm width x 110cm height maximum size).

The programme of the workshop will be available few weeks before the meeting starts.
